New Meal Plan Structure
University Dining Services is pleased to bring you a new dining structure beginning Fall 2010.
Highlights of the program include:
New Meal Plan Levels (each level has three tiers for the same price):
These tiers offer students the opportunity to customize their meal plan to their needs through a variety of meal and flex fund combinations. Meals can only be used for dining at Boozel and Weisenfluh Dining Centers and are reset every week. Each time you enter a dining center, a meal is deducted from your access pass. You may use up to four meals per day regardless of the meal time.
Flex Funds can be used at all campus dining locations. Flex works as a dollar-for-dollar exchange at all of our dining facilities on-campus and are available in various amounts on almost all of our meal plans. Flex funds are subtracted from your account as they are used and are good for the entire semester. If they are not used by the end of the Fall semester, the remaining balance is carried over to the Spring semester provided you sign a contract for spring semester. However, any remaining balance is forfeited at the end of the Spring semester. If you run out of Flex Funds before the end of the semester, you can purchase them in $25 increments at any time.

Flex Only Plan: Plan #7 $100 minimum deposit
Designed for the off-campus and commuter student, a minimum of $100 deposited in a Flex Fund account gives you access to all dining facilities. Flex Funds may be increased in $25 increments at any time in the Student Accounts Office. Contact the Student Accounts Office at 724-738-2088 or visit 104 Old Main to add Flex Funds to your account. Many students prefer the complete flexibility of having a Flex Account and parents enjoy knowing these dollars can only be spent for food.
Residence Hall Students may choose any meal plan except Plan #5 and Plan #7.
Off-Campus, Commuter, R.O.C.K. Apartment Students may choose from any of the meal plan options.
A student living in University housing is required to contract for a meal plan. The 15-meal/$225 flex plan is incorporated into the residence hall agreement. A residence hall student will automatically be billed for the 15-meal plan/$255 flex plan.
